Our class 1 hitches have a 1 1/4 In. receiver opening, and rate up to 2,000 Lbs. gross trailer weight (GTW) and 200 Lbs. tongue weight (TW). This Trailer Hitch includes a standard CURT ball mount with a pin and clip.  DOES NOT fit 2001 Impreza RS (GC6 body), Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: CURT Manufacturing 11318 Class 1 Trailer Hitch (Automotive) This hitch DOES NOT FIT a 2001 or 2000 Impreza RS!!!! And after reading the other reviews, doesn't fit the Impreza 97-2001. Based upon the Amazon's fitment guide and Curt's website I purchased this and had it shipped quickly (Shipping was great). The holes are off on the driver's side by about an inch and the exhaust is not able to hang without rubbing against the driver's side of the hitch.I am heading out west for a trip next week and had to make this one work. It require me to re-drill and cut the driver's side mounting hole. For the exhaust I could only drop the exhaust to the lower mount on hitch and left off the right side muffler hanger. When I return, I'll have to cutout a section of the driver's drive mounting area and drill a new hole for it to hang in the stock location. This was NOT a 30 minute install, which it would have been it it really fit the car. You also have to remove a mounting plate that holds the diffuser in place near the bumper. You also have to remove the driver side rear tie down hook and exhaust hanger as well as the passenger side tie down hook. (If you don't know what I'm referring to, the tie downs are what they use to hold the vehicle in place during shipping or for a flat tow). The fit is very tight. The passenger side theres a black box with a vacuum tube going into it (not actually sure what it does) about 6-8 inches by about 2 inches by 4-6 inches. Its mounted with rubber bushings so it has a little play in it and the hitch takes up all of that play (ergo tight fit...) I have a Cobb turbo back exhaust and I was able to *make* it work, but I can't same I'm particularly please about... Read more |
