It was easy to assemble. When the back wheels are on the outer leg setting, the walker is very stable. It took about 10 days to arrive with the free shipping, probably because I'm in California, and it shipped from the east coast. The only problem it had was that it doesn't steer. Unfortunately, if you have a cast that goes up almost to the knee, all the weight of your body will press against the cast and into your leg below the knee. This makes the Knee Walker extremely uncomfortable after a few minutes. Try this:1. Put a folding chair with a padded seat in front of you. 2. Bend your "bad" leg so the cast is horizontal. 3. Place all your weight on the cast with the chair underneath. If this doesn't cause any discomfort, the knee walker will probably work OK for you. I can do nearly everything I could do before, even go over fairly rough terrain. I drive just fine with my left foot, so this little cart and I make the rounds without a problem, as it folds up quite easily and can be hauled in and out of the car just by myself. A steerable model would have been nice, but not at more than twice the price! It is not difficult to pick this one up between steps to change direction. The brake is very handy when negotiating ups and downs. There are 2 steps leading to my house, and I figured out where to put the scooter so I can push against it and zip right up the steps.My knee does get sore, though, so occasionally I use my crutches to give my knee a rest, and as I am crutching around, armpits hurting, cats scurrying out...
