So after about a week of waiting with none written, I decided to place my order. THEN, while I was waiting on my delivery, I ran across the reviews on the previous model by Toastess and ran across MANY BAD reviews. Boy, was I feeling regretful having ordered this too soon!BUT, after trying it out for the first time steaming some fresh broccoli and frozen shrimp and they came out PERFECT!! I love the stainless steel lid and trays and the capacity is AMAZING!! The bowls are all very large (all the same size) PLUS I love having the option of three tiers because I use my steamer ALOT and prefer to steam my leftovers as well. They are a bit different than the norm due to the stainless steel trays slide underneath each open bowl so trying to use as a colander is pretty challenging. Made some tasty lunch: steamed shrimp with Kale, asparagus, and green beans. Took about 15 minutes to steam (25 minutes total with preparation- had to clean up the shrimp). I squirted some lime on top, added pepper and I was a happy camper. That is until I tried to use it to make dinner. I think the motor burned out or something. Either way, it would not turn on. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I'm returning the steamer and will receive a replacement in a few days. I am giving Toastess one more chance since I was impressed with my first meal. I will update this post whenever I get cookin' again!
