But one reviewer indicated that the Roosevelt model did not have the magnetic power cord attachment that makes removing the kettle so easy on the Funtime. I would guess these are sourced from the same contract factory in china. The Roosevelt popper is sometimes priced less than the $180 I paid for my Funtime brand, but it is not as attractive as they removed the lower painted trim and tacked on a small storage area. I did pay less for it from the same company that listed it on eBay, so you may want to check there. The unit is very durable and pops great tasting popcorn. Be warned though. You may be making several batches because everyone asks for seconds and thirds!The warming deck is such a plus; something I did not find on similarly priced units. The kettle/motor does sometimes make a clicking sound, but so far has worked without incidence. Clean up is relatively easy. After I finish making popcorn, I place about 2 cups of water in the kettle and heat it up in the unit. I place a large bowl in the bottom of the unit so that after the water comes to a boil, I can dump it out without taking the kettle out. Finally received a replacement for the kettle. It was the wrong one. I needed an 8 oz with 3 prong plug. Instead, got an 8 oz kettle(magnetic) with no electric cord ... dented of course. So I gave up on Funtime. My advice is this, order from a website that has a link for spare parts. Most of these kettles are only warranted for one month. They do burn out.
