I do a lot of crafts (crochet and cross-stitch) and I can see so much better with this lamp. I can move the flexible head in any direction so the light is always "just right." I also like the handy tray~perfect for scissors, needles, coffee, etc. My husband likes it because it makes it much easier to read the paper and he has a place for his glasses and the remote. I really can't say enough about this lamp. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Best way to assemble is to lay the lamp horizontally on its side on carpet and go from there. Do not place upright until completely assembled. Light bulb is very hard to insert. If you are changing the bulb at a later date, flex the neck backwards until the bulb is horizontal to the ceiling. You will save yourself a lot of frustration. Also, the lamp I received was obviously returned by a previous customer. Too much trouble to return, but am not pleased Amazon sent me a used product and charged an arm & a leg for it. Packaging leaves something to be desired.
